Copywriter Launches Twitter Quest in Bid to Land Job

There have been loads of creative uses of Twitter in the micro-blog’s relatively short history, but this one by copywriter Mark Trueblood definitely stands out.

Taking a cue from those ‘choose your own adventure’ books, Trueblood’s self-promotional campaign is a series of individual tweets, each with embedded links representing ‘choices’ for the reader to click on.

It starts off by placing the reader in a typical ‘new client’ situation at an agency—do you hire a new writer, or add more to your current writer’s already-full plate?

Well, where the ‘quest’ leads is pretty obvious, and there are only a few ‘pages’ in total, but the idea behind this is ingenious enough to be expanded into a full-fledged game of sorts. We’ll give a tiny spoiler: There are no dungeons and dragons involved here.
