To promote their upcoming album, Scottish twee-pop band Belle & Sebastian has asked fans to take to the streets and spread the gospel in a crowdsource-based art project.

Lead singer Stuart Murdoch wants you to write, post, tag, paint, film (you get the picture) the title of their eighth album, Belle & Sebastian Write About Love, take a photo, and upload it to a specially created Flickr page.

There’s a little contest element to it as well. The best entries, as judged by the band, will be selected for use in its online TV show, and there’ll be trophies awarded as well.

There's no definite deadline for entry, but Murdoch suggests you upload your effort by "the end of August".
