Some tweets are just dying for a New Yorker-style picture to accompany it, giving that visual punch to a particularly witty line. If you’ve thought about it, it’s too late to start now—a writer-illustrator duo have beaten everyone else to the punch.
‘Twaggies’ is a series of comic strips that use tweets as their source material. David Israel came up with the idea first; now, he selects the ammunition to fire up partner-in-crime Kiersten Essenpreis’ artistic imagination.
We’ve seen social media comics before, but the difference here is that social media isn’t so much a subject to be ridiculed in itself as it is a fountain of inspiration and quotes.
The Twitter user we’d most like to see Twaggie-d? @KanyeWest.
