Sci-fi Tunnel in NY Gallery
Gaze into passageways of multicolored wonder at ‘CHROMAtex.me’, Softlab's new installation in the lower east side of New York.
Attached to the window front of the bridgegallery, the gradual gradient from shades of green to pink are quite a sight to behold; its fluid, funnel shape comes across as something straight from a sci-fi film.
Made from 4,600 panels of printed photo gloss paper, the installation is secured together by just binder clips.
The installation was crowdsourced and funded through a Kickstarter project, the pledges of which will receive the installation’s paper panels once dismantled after the exhibition.
The project is the largest chromatic paper creations by the New York-based design firm so far; smaller scale projects include the lampshade creations of 'CHROMAesthesiae'.
