The latest NASA mission isn’t a trek to the extremes of outer space. This time, it’s cyberspace that’s on the agenda of the space exploration body; specifically, Flickr.
NASA has posted about 200 historic images on the photo-hosting website, right back from the Bumper V-2 rocket launch in 1950 to the pioneers of aeronautical engineering.
There are three sets of photos currently on NASA’s Flickr: “Launch and Takeoff”, featuring iconic spacecraft taking flight; “Building NASA”, a set on the construction of various NASA facilities; and “NASA Center Namesakes”, photos of NASA’s leaders and pioneers.
For any space or photography enthusiast, it’s a treasure trove documenting the history of one of Man’s greatest endeavor: space exploration.
