They don’t work, but these cardboard camera sculptures are as detailed as the real deal—every knob, marker and button’s right there where it should be.
The sculptures are designed by American artist Kiel Johnson, and is part of a larger series of normal gadgets—headphones, cassettes, and so on—constructed out of cardboard.
And his commentary is obvious: eco-friendly material used to represent fast-moving consumer goods. Most of Johnson’s sculptures are of technological products too, as these gizmos tend to have a shorter lifespan; after all, it only takes a couple of years before they become obsolete.
Getting these cameras to work, however, is a different thing altogether.
