In suit and tie with hair slicked back, Don Draper looks a testament to 1960s style…except for that iPhone 4 he’s toting.
Nope, you didn’t read that wrong. The iPhone might have only been available a good 40 years after Draper’s time, but in a wonderfully-shot behind-the-scenes look at the acclaimed serial, Rolling Stone captured a few jarring moments.
In another shot, Kenny Cosgrove and Harry Crane, both in full costume, can be seen peering into the screen of a MacBook Pro, the glow from the laptop cast across their Wayfarers.
The drama series is especially lauded for its attention to detail—set designs are immaculately put together to reflect its mid-century time-frame accurately. So it’s a little bizarre seeing these characters whip out devices from the far-flung—to them, at least—future.
