If image editing software didn’t exist, would graphic design involve literally snipping and pasting with scissors and paper?
In recognition of Adobe Photoshop's 20th anniversary—yes, the software has been around since 1990—this humorous video by graphic design studio Chopping Block envisions a world without image editing programs.
In World Without Photoshop, the team practically takes to craft-making, cutting and pasting photos and designs together by hand.
The 'drop shadow' effect is created by shining the light source at three-dimensional letter blocks of ‘Lorem Ipsum’. Photoshop's ever so handy 'magic wand' also makes a cameo appearance; a random magician pops up at the studio asking if anyone is in need of the services of his magic wand. And the design team finishes its simple project with 12 members…in eight hours.
While we do gripe about the overuse of Photoshop, Adobe has definitely made graphic editing much easier and less time consuming with its tools.
