Studying how cats scratch their posts, furniture design firm Kassen sculpted this sophisticated scratching post for the discerning feline.

Measuring 32-inches in height, the post has been optimized to give your cat the most surface area to claw into. There’s even a cement base to keep the post from falling over.

As Kassen notes: “Its design and materials ensure a weight and structural integrity that’s highly attractive to any cat, as well as complementing your modern décor.”

But as any cat owner will tell you, the post is ultimately useless—your cat will end up destroying your Eames chair anyway.
