Google’s PageRank algorithm might be the Bible code to some, but in practical terms, might not work as well. A company dealing in printing quotes decided to put Google to the test in their little experiment, Battle of the Business Cards (pictured below).

Printing Choice sent out the exact specifications of business cards to five online printers as ranked by Google. Once it received the printed cards, Printing Choice designed this infographic comparing the online printers by delivery time, total cost, and crucially, the quality of the print.

The ‘top company’ pick isn’t what’s at stake here but rather, Printing Choice’s experiment proves a simple point: that in the world of SEO and algorithms, there’s more beneath the surface of search results than mere ‘quality’.
