With Bump Update, a New Way to Share Music
The new Bump update [iTunes link] for iOS devices now allows users to share music by using the trademark bumping motion, adding on to the app’s current photo-sharing capability.
Before the ever-vigilant eyes of the RIAA start lighting up however, the feature doesn’t support full downloads—bumping just allows users to stream songs from YouTube, or preview and buy them on iTunes.
“We think Bump is the simplest and easiest way to tell your friends about songs and artists you love,” Bump CEO David Lieb told Mashable, adding that “more than a million photos” are shared through the app every weekend.
