In Ad, Verizon Confuses iPhone for Motorola Droid X
By Advertising / IO, 01 Dec 2010
Photoshop gaffes are common enough, but this Verizon image of Motorola’s Droid X phone sporting an iPhone screen is more a case of irony. Motorola is known for attacking Apple in its ads, most notably for the iPhone’s antenna woes.
Found by Engadget, the ad appears on Verizon’s website and features the telco’s most popular smartphone, the Droid X. But look a little closer and the screen (of Google Maps) isn’t that of the Droid—it’s from the iPhone.
When last checked however, Verizon cleared up its little mistake; the Droid X now features its own screen.
