Adobe Foundations and PBS announced recently a collaboration to help aspiring documentary filmmakers achieve their dreams.

The collaboration, titled Project VoiceScape will pair middle- and high-school students with award-winning documentary filmmakers. The aim of the project is to encourage the students “to use digital media tools in creating compelling stories about issues and concerns important to them”, Adobe said in a statement.

Interested young filmmakers can submit entries on the project website, and those chosen will receive mentorship as well as the streaming of their films at the PBS POV documentary series site.

“We believe it’s critical to arm young people with the creativity and technology skills to succeed in today’s digital world,” said Adobe president and CEO Shantanu Narayen in a statement.
