The highly-addictive game, which has been downloaded over 50 million times, has been adapted into many products, including iPhone cases, a Mattel board game (in development), and LEGO models.
It seemed almost inevitable that the next step for the gaming company to cash in on this craze is to produce its very own TV series. "We have been looking at that for quite a while, and that is definitely one of my personal big focus areas right now -- to work on broadcast content for Angry Birds," explained Rovio CEO Mikael Hed.
Looks like all it takes to get ahead of the Farmville's bunch is a good slingshot.
