The work on display comes from as near as Sacramento's nationally and internationally recognized designers (yes, there are few of them), to works that have been shipped over from as far away as Japan.
Also leading design studios like Pentagram, and Imaginary Forces have their work on display in this exhibit.
The show is an installation piece itself.
Culture and commerce collide as the role of curator and environmental designer have been unified to embrace a greater sense of what it means for public images to exist.
The exhibit becomes an environment in which the work challenges the viewer's notion of spectatorship and makes itself available to be engaged, touched, or even picked up.
Velvet ropes and gilded frames are no longer relevant; this is the way design was meant to be put on display.
