Photographer Superimposes Hundreds of Tourist Snapshots

When snapping away at the Taj Mahal or the Eiffel Tower, tourists tend to stand at the same tired spot, suggests Corinne Vionnet in her project Photo Opportunities.

The Swiss–French photographer scoured the internet for “hundreds” of tourist snapshots of popular attractions and superimposed them to produce the images seen here, she wrote on her website.

Vionnet’s images are haunting images of skylines and monuments that may pass off as oil paintings—but the interesting thing is how all the superimposed photos seem to be taken from the same perspective and position.
