‘Helvetica’ Director Launches Trailer, Kickstarter Page for New Film
Helvetica director Gary Hustwit has launched the trailer and a Kickstarter page to help fund his new film on urban design titled Urbanized.
The documentary feature is the third in Hustwit’s design trilogy, which also included a film on product and industrial design. Urbanized “looks at the issues and strategies behind urban design, featuring some of the world’s foremost architects, planners, policymakers, builders and thinkers”, Hustwit wrote on the Kickstarter page.
Although the film is currently in editing stage, Hustwit said “several more filming trips” are required before post-production work can begin. The project’s goal on Kickstarter is to reach US$85,000 in 28 days.
