WikiLeaks Opens Online Store to Raise Funds
WikiLeaks has launched an online store selling apparel and accessories in an effort to raise funds for figurehead Julian Assange’s defense fund, reports Mashable.
The store will offer items like t-shirts, bags, umbrellas and buttons, all of which sport the WikiLeaks logo or relevant quotes.
Assange, now in London, will face the verdict by a UK court later today on whether he would be extradited to Sweden where he is accused of several sex crimes, reports Reuters.
The WikiLeaks leader claims to have already spent 200,000 pounds on legal costs and that he needs to "defend myself and keep WikiLeaks afloat", Mashable quoted Assange as saying.
