For Would-be Quitters, Single-Serving Cigarette Packs
For those pledging to quit the habit, innovation studio Continuum has designed a concept cigarette pack that holds only a single stick, two matches and a piece of gum.
The idea behind the pack, called 1Z, is to allow for “lapses in resolve”, according to architecture blog Dezeen. To drive home this point, the lid of the pack reads: “n case of emergency, lift here.”
“You can design for that setback so it doesn’t turn into an entire pack of cigarettes,” Continuum told Dezeen. “Design for resilience is being realistics that setbacks will happen, and creating safe ways to fail and bounce back.”
