Charlie Sheen ‘Wins’ Lady Gaga, Obama in Social Media
The controversial star Charlie Sheen has wrested online attention from buzzworthy names like Lady Gaga, the iPad and President Barack Obama, reports Reuters, citing a survey conducted by the Global Language Monitor.
Sheen has “topped all internet and social media discussions since the beginning of 2011”, reports Reuters. He has, at the time of this report, more than 2.3 million followers on Twitter.
Global Language Monitor analyzed the top 20 persons or items of interest on online properties like news outlets, blogs, Twitter and YouTube to arrive at its conclusion. Behind the Two and a Half Men actor is the Apple iPad, Lady Gaga, Obama and Sarah Palin.
However, for print, Sheen placed 18th in Global Language Monitor’s list that covered some 75,000 media properties.
