Designer Uses Cookies, Tape to Create Slogans


British designer Anna Garforth doesn’t use ink, digital or not, to create her letters. Rather, Garforth prefers unusual material like masking tape, leaves and even moss to create her one-of-a-kind designs.

Garforth’s latest work is an installation featuring a slogan, “Wild at Heart” (see above), created entirely with masking tape. The type appears to be floating, but is in fact attached to a wire fence, which the designer also used as a grid to align her tape.

Other experimental designs include an edible poster, made with cookie letters, and a single word grown from moss:
