Lost Type Co-Op: A Pay-What-You-Want Font Foundry
Billed as the first of its kind, the Lost Type Co-Op lets designers pay any amount for any font in its catalog—if $0 is specified, the font is free of charge.
A collaboration between designers Tyler Galpin and Riley Cran, Lost Type will take no cut of sales, 100% of which will go directly to the typographers.
“We felt it was important for everyone to have access to unique and beautiful typefaces, based on a very approachable model,” the designers wrote on the Lost Type blog.
