To promote Deutsche Telekom’s sub-100 euro range of phones, Saatchi & Saatchi London together with Rovio built a massive, real-life Angry Birds in the Spanish city of Barcelona.
Passers-by were able to experience the game’s well-known cast beyond their tiny smartphone screens as giant birds exploded amid tumbling blocks, all of which are uncanny versions of their digital counterparts.
“We wanted to democratize smartphones, and create a tactile experience that anyone can participate in. Something that’s never been done before," Saatchi & Saatchi creative director Jason Romeyko told PopSop.
