Designer Pengtao Yu has created the intuitive timed tea-steeper that uses a spring-loaded timer and filter

To activate the tea-steeper, users have to pour hot water and tealeaves in one cup of the hourglass, set the timer, and flip the device.

When the timer goes off, the tea would drip to the bottom cup, with the leaves held back by the filter.
