Digitally Doodle During Meals on this Wooden Table

‘Drawn to the Table’ is a wooden table that can be electronically drawn or written on.

With a finger, fork, chopstick or spoon into “digital ink”, users can draw a picture or write a message to other family members seated at the table.

Doodles or messages can also be transferred to other screen-based electronics of family members who aren’t at the table, by connecting their devices.

Alice Moloney, Julene Aguirre Bielschowsky and Cheng Guo created the table in response to a brief by Blackberry, on how online and offline technologies can complement each other to enhance people’s communication.

The table helps families stay connected and communicate physically and personally at meal times.
