To pay tribute to Steve Jobs’ legacy at Apple, Joseph Tame hooked up his iPhone to the RunKeeper app and jogged a route in Tokyo in the shape of Apple’s famous logo.
The 21 kilometer route spanned central Tokyo, taking Tame to the Imperial Palace, Roppongi, Omotesando, Shinjuku and Kagurazaka.
“Having an iPhone really has changed by life here in Tokyo,” Tame wrote on his blog. It means I can go anywhere without getting lost, I have all my data with me at all times, I’m potentially in touch with thousands of friends and family members around the world at all times, and I have information I might need to do what I need to do.”
“It’s for this that I’d like to personally show my appreciation to Steve for his vision and leadership, which has made a direct positive impact upon my life.”
Tame added that his tribute was also for Steve Jobs and Apple’s efforts in revolutionizing the mobile phone industry.
This isn’t the first timeTame has attempted GPS art. The avid runner—he works as a freelance media producer—has also jogged out the Google+ logo, an outline of the Tokyo Tower, the Twitter bird, among many others. See his other pieces on his blog here.
