Typography Made Out of Architecture
Inspired by famous architectural companies and their works, UK-based designer Chris Labrooy has drawn up 3D typefaces using objects and buildings to spell out the architects’ names.

Using some of the architects’ creations, Labrooy structured typography designed to look like the names of Tadao Ando, Zaha Hadid, Oscar Niemeyer and Toyo Ito.

“I picked out my favorite buildings as a basis for developing some expressive letter forms,” Labrooy wrote.

But rather than referencing buildings for Zaha Hadid, Labrooy decided to focus on its formal language, “because I am very interested in her drawings and paintings from the eighties,” he wrote.
