Historically Accurate Depictions of Disney Princesses
Disney princesses may just be cartoons, but LA-based illustrator Claire Hummel took the time to deck them out in period appropriate style.
She did her research on what princesses in the cartoons would have worn to reflect their particular eras before modifying their hair, clothes and accessories.
The costumes Hummel imagined aren’t far off from those in the Disney movies, but they include more detailed elements such as crinoline shapes, dress patterns and hairstyles.
