One Dress, 500 Meters of Fabric, 238 Pockets

For the London Design Festival, design and architecture firm Aamu Song used 550 meters of fabric to make a dress that stands 3-meters high and covers 20-meters in diameter of ground.

The Reddress is an interactive installation that’s designed to be worn by the performer, while spectators sit within the 238 pockets of the dress surrounding the performer.

Each performer climbs a staircase to fit into the body of the garment, while audience members becom part of the performance.
