Infographic: Social Media Can Enhance Employees’ Happiness and Productivity
By Anthea Quay, 20 Oct 2011
An infographic by Socialcast illustrates that happy and engaged employees are better and more efficient workers.
But over the years, fewer and fewer people are satisfied with their jobs. A survey by TIME Magazine in 2010 discovered that less than half (47%) of the workers in America are satisfied with their jobs.
In ‘Office Bliss: How Happiness Can Fuel Success At Work’, job security was regarded as the most important aspect of employee happiness; with the benefits and compensation/pay that come with the job as the other highly important aspects.
The top five happiest careers in America include: biotechnology workers, customer service representatives, teachers, administrative assistants, and buyers.
Research conducted by James Fowler also suggests that social media sites can enhance employees’ happiness and productivity.
