A Dining Table To Avoid All Conversations

Michael Beitz has built a dining table that lets you avoid all conversations with people across the same table.

Beitz takes ordinary everyday objects, applies his own emotions, and turns them into his own interpretations.

The dining table is a sculptural piece of furniture that comments on interpersonal relationships.

“My current work is concerned with parallels between human emotional states and the mass-produced design objects we live with and within,” Beitz said.

“My experience as a furniture maker working in carious shops for the past ten years has started to influence my present work, as I have started to use furniture design itself to discuss and interpret my own relationships.”
