Old Spice has created a tongue-in-cheek product, the Bear Deodorant Protector, which is a bear-shaped deodorant holder.
The product might be for a man to keep his Old Spice deodorant safe in a woodland creature, hidden from thieves, or make it easier to find in a bag—or both.
“The first in what may eventually become a line of Deodorant Protectors, which are going to revolutionize the way men leave their deodorant sitting around places,” the product description wrote.
Advertising agency Weiden + Kennedy also created the faux (not to mention, cheesy) infomercial to promote the limited edition product, which is selling at US$19.99 via Old Spice’s Facebook Page
The infomercial stars one man, who dresses up in different outfits to play various people in the advertisement—such as, the host, product demonstrator, and the audience.
But without a doubt, the ad and product keeps up with the brand’s social media momentum of satirical advertising.
