Paris-based designer Dzmitry Samal created glasses with frames that emulate the ‘pixel’ effect.
The ‘5dpi’ glasses are molded from acetate and filed to create the angular pixelated frames—directly referring to late 1980s computerized graphics and video games, such as Tetris—to make you look like you’re an 8-bit character.
The glasses reflect on society’s fascination with the ‘informal’ aesthetic, as well as how technology has inspired everything today.
Each pair of 5dpi costs EU$298.
