Twitter Rolls Out Revamped Design

Twitter has rolled out a new design for its website and mobile phone apps, to make the microblogging service much simpler, faster, and easier to use.

The new version will feature a new look and faster performance, the company said.

Los Angeles Times states that the redesigned site is “geared toward getting people to use the service more frequently and for longer, and giving advertisers more reasons to spend their dollars there”.

The updated version features four new tabs, namely: ‘Home’ where you view Tweets from the people you have chosen to follow; ‘Connect’ (@) where you see who has followed or mentioned you, retweeted or favorited one of your Tweets; ‘Discover’ (#) where you can see useful and entertaining information, customized just for you; and ‘Me’ (profile section) where others can Tweet directly to you, view your lists, favorites, followers, photos, and where you can see your direct message conversations.

Users may download the latest version of Twitter for iPhone and Twitter for Android.
