Take A 360-Degree Tour of Apple’s Largest Retail Store On Your iOS Device

On Friday, Apple opened its largest retail store in the world to date, at New York’s Grand Central Terminal.

The retail store covers 23,000 square feet—and unlike its de rigueur stores furnished with floor-to-ceiling glass windows and brightening white walls, this Grand Central Apple Store has none.

Instead, Apple has blended into the historic landmark, and retained a lot of its original aesthetics—neoclassical architectural elements and chandeliers hang above your head.

If you hope to pay a visit to the store, but wish to miss the crowds, your wish is Apple’s command—Apple has allowed iPhone 4 and 4S, iPad 2 and 4th-gen iPod Touch owners to take a virtual tour of its recently-opened store.

Users just have to go to Apple’s Grand Central Terminal retail store website—using Mobile Safari on the iOS devices mentioned above—click “View More Photos”, and click the last photo on the pop-up with “360” labeled on it.

With the ‘gyroscope’ feature, the browser lets you see a 360-degree panoramic view of the store by holding the device and moving around with it, as if you were standing in the shop itself.
