Audio and music equipment company BEHRINGER has created the world’s loudest and largest speaker dock for the iPhone or iPod for the 2012 Consumer Electronics Trade Show in Las Vegas in January.

The 'iNuke Boom' weighs 700 pounds, measures 8-foot wide and 4-foot tall (the size of an office desk), and outputs 10,000 watts of power.

It was essentially created as a publicity stunt and marketing tool to promote the company’s new line of home audio equipment.

“We made this one prototype, but we will make them and sell them if we take orders for them,” Mark Wilder, BEHRINGER’s vice president of marketing and communications, said.

The speaker and dock works with Apple iPhones, iPads, and iPods; and is selling at a price of US$29,999.

“I’m not sure our neighbors are going to like us that much,” Wilder said.
