Filmmakers Alper Cagatay and Christopher Thompson wondered what would happen if they could get their hands on famous street artist Banksy’s work that he puts up on the streets for free—“Does it mean you’ve found a winning lottery ticket or just scraped some worthless crap off a wall?”, they wrote.

‘How to Sell a Banksy’ is a documentary that raises questions of ownership, authentication, and true value of art itself.

The documentary features the two filmmakers going up against Art Establishments, Critics, Auction Houses, Gallery Owners and Authentication Boards, and gatecrashing the “murky and protective world of Banksy”.
