Paper made into the forms of retro devices sure isn’t like the real thing, but it definitely looks good enough to make you want one.
French designer duo, Lucie Thomas and Thibault Zimmermann of Zim and Zou, have sculpted old-school gadgets – such as a Leica camera with film, a floppy disk, and a cassette player with a cassette – out of paper.
Their collection, Back to Basics, is hand made with sustainable colored paper. Each part has been meticulously cut and glued, and even the smallest scraps that were bound for the bin have been reused as a form of detail.
Although these paper products are not functional, they still look too good to be true.
