Brooklyn-based artist Phillip Stearns explores various manifestations of glitches produced by electronic systems.
In his Year of the Glitch 366-day project, Stearns publishes electronic glitches as art.
“Each day will bring a new image, video, or sound file from a range of sources: prepared digital cameras, video capture devices, electronic displays, scanners, manipulated or corrupted files, skipping CDs, disrupted digital transmissions, etc.”, he wrote about his project.
Stearn feels that these images unlock “other worlds latent in the technologies with which we surround ourselves”, and that these images produced are not of broken things.
What do you think about these 'art pieces'?
