Video Memo Replaces Notes On Fridges

Hong Kong-based designer Fabien Nauroy for Native Union created a mini video-memo device that allows its users to record video-messages as ‘refrigerator notes’.

‘Play’ is a small gadget shaped like a speech bubble, with a 2.4-inch LCD, 0.3-megapixel camera, three buttons to record, play and delete, and a magnetic backing so that users can stick on fridges or other metallic surfaces.

Users can record video messages of up to three minutes.

When a message is recorded and ready for listening, a light blinks and an envelope icon on the screen shows to let the next person know to check it.

Play comes in white, black, blue, pink, green, red, or purple; and costs US$60 each.
