Polaroid has released its Polaroid SC1630 Smart Camera, a 16-megapixel digital camera that’s powered by Android.
The camera features a 3x optical zoom lens, a 3.2-inch wide touch-screen display, 720p video recording, WiFi, automatic face and smile detection, smart albums, geo-tagging, red-eye removal, resizing, color correction, and 32GB memory via a microSD card.
With the point-and-shoot device, users are able to install Android apps, and upload photos and ‘geo-tag’ their locations (longitude and latitude coordinate) of the photos using the WiFi feature.
‘Smart albums’ automatically organizes photos by date, location and people in the pictures.
Polaroid SC1630 Smart Camera costs US$300 and would be available in April 2012.
