LEGO has launched a social media platform called 'ReBrick' where fans can share their LEGO models and creations with each other.
Released Dec. 15 last year, it aims to celebrate the LEGO fan community for their long-term devotion, by providing a “hub to gather the most interesting, off-the-wall and astonishing user developed Lego creations in one place”.
The platform—targeted at users 13 and older—is a result of collaboration with more than 500 LEGO fans, down from the site design, development to the house rules.
Even the name was decided together, adopting the word 'brick’, often used by LEGO fans in place of the trademarked brand name.
‘ReBrick’ works by allowing users to add bookmarks to the site simply by dropping LEGO-related link in after which the site will extract picture or video information.
Users can easily log in with their Facebook accounts and browse through various categories such as ‘culture’, ‘train’, ‘buildings’ as well as play games and watch educational videos.
