YouTube has claimed in a blog post that the video-sharing website has grown ten-fold since 2007, reports The Telegraph.

A new website called onehourpersecond.com, has been built to visualize the volume of content uploaded onto YouTube over set periods of time.

The Google-owned site claims that it now receives up to 60 hours of uploads per minute and as many as 4 billion views in a day.

According to the company, “that’s up 25 percent in the last eight months and the equivalent of more than half the world’s population watching a video every day, the same number as there are US $1 bills in circulation, the same as number of years since there was water on Mars.”

YouTube says the numbers are set to grow further.
