Fujifilm Launches Beauty Range Using Film Ingredients
Fuijifilm is entering the beauty market with its own range of anti-aging cream called 'Astalift' using the same ingredient that prevents photograph from fading, reported The Daily Mail.

Spurred by its own research, the Japanese firm has come up with a compound that contains collagen and antioxidants that protects skin from harmful ultra-violet rays.

The special type of collagen called Pico-Collagen—used to stop old photographs from fading—is said to be able restore skin’s youthful exuberance and elasticity.

According to Andrzej Brylak, director of Fujifilm's European beauty and health division, “collagen only started being used by the cosmetics industry relatively recently”.

“It is a key ingredient in film emulsion and we have a very long history of research in this area. Preventing oxidisation from light exposure is also a big issue in protecting film and a similarly big issue in preventing skin damage,” he added.

Picture perfect skin may be achievable without Photoshop after all.
