A small American restaurant chain called ‘Sticky Rice’ has successfully launched the very first sushi into space on Jan. 1 this year.

As part of their new marketing campaign, the company loaded a sushi plate of their popular ‘Godzirra’ roll onto a parachute device and documented its journey into space in this under 3-min video.

According to them, the launch took six months of planning and numerous testing.

The sushi made it back on earth in one piece so although not all of us can afford to go to space, this sushi may just bring us a little closer to our dream.
