Miami-based artist Miguel Endara has created a fascinating drawing of his dad titled ‘Hero’—composed entirely out of 3.2 million ink dots.
Endara, who wanted to pay a tribute to his father, also filmed himself employing the tedious technique of stippling.
“It’s not exact, but very, very close to the real number,” explains Endara.
“I multiply speed of plotting (how many dots I put down per 10 seconds) with the number of hours I work on each section, ” he adds.
Endara clocked in a total of 210 hours of stippling but the overall work took almost a year to complete.
Now that’s what we call perseverance!
