German fashion designer Karl Lagerfeld has released his new collection ‘KARL’ on online luxury fashion giant, NET-A-PORTER.COM.
To celebrate the launch of the masstige fashion collection, the e-tailer has produced an augmented reality iPhone/iPad app NET-A-PORTER KARL, so that users can literally ‘window shop’ at pop-up stores with a different experience.
With the mobile app, users can scan, inspect and buy items, on pop-up shop displays in Paris, New York, Munich, Sydney and London.
Users could also ‘Karlify’ themselves: by taking a photo of themselves or choosing one from the library, users could get how they’d look like in Lagerfeld’s new collection.
Visitors who find five Karl Lagerfeld heads in the app may also win up to $1,000 British pounds to spend on NET-A-PORTER.
The first 50 visitors of the window shop also received limited edition goodie bags: T-shirts and a pair of iconic KARL leather gloves, or collar, from the collection.
