Scratch-And-Sniff Technology Makes Its Way To Denim Jeans
Canadian clothing company Naked & Famous Denim has released a line of jeans with built in scratch-and-sniff technology.
The scratch-n-sniff jeans are raspberry-scented, slim-fit, dark wash jeans made of “rare and raw” Japanese denim—that has been manufactured at a traditional mill in Japan.
Tiny raspberry-scented microcapsules have been ‘baked’, or coated, onto the surface of the jeans—so that when the jeans are scratched, the scent is released from the fabric.
According to Naked & Famous Denim, the scent is strong even after five washes.
But does this mean that wearers have to refrain from scratching when they feel an itch?
The Naked & Famous Denim scratch-n-sniff jeans are available at about US$200.
