Ewok-Inspired Treehouse Village For Humans



Retired army medic Michael Garnier has built a resort out of treehouses in Oregon—the kind that both Ewoks and humans will be happy to live in.

Completed in 1990, his bed-and-breakfast paradise called ‘Out ‘n’ About Treehouse Treesort’, is made up of 9 treehouses linked by staircases, bridges and even ziplines to allow for rapid descent.

But his personal treehouse home—which he claimed to be the world’s largest—is 1800sq feet in size, supported by no less than 7 trees.

Widely respected in the treehouse industry, Garnier has also helped develop the Garnier Limb, an open-source design to enable easy attachment of steel bolts and cuffs to a tree.
