As part of the Wif Interactive Design Festival from 29 to 31 May 2012, the Limousin Economic and Cultural Development Agency (AVEC) together with the Agency for the Promotion of Industrial Design (APCI) have launched the Wif Design Challenge.
The Wif Design Challenge aims to identify, encourage and support innovative projects.
Teams—made up of two to four competitors, students or professionals—from all over the world are welcome to participate.
For the competition, teams are given 24 hours to imagine and develop innovative interface prototypes that are related to challenges faced by digital society—as the purpose of the Wif Design Challenge is to highlight how interactive design can be a factor of economic, cultural and social innovation.
The competition comprises two parts: the online pre-selection that will take place from 16 to 17 March 2012; and the final in Limoges, France, from 29 to 30 May 2012.
Successful projects may get backing to start up companies in the Limousin region. Participants stand a chance to win up to $5,000 Euro dollars.
To participate, competitors have to individually register on the Wif website by 14 March 2012. Registration is free.
